How is Your Premium Determined?
The following factors will decide your premium.
- Your age upon departure.
- The length of your trip.
- Your trip destination (USA or elsewhere) abroad.
- Pre-existing medical conditions and their stability.
A pre-existing condition is an illness or injury for which the insured is
receiving ongoing medical treatment or has received diagnosis or medical
consultation or prescription drugs. This condition may be covered if there is
a period of stability (usually 90 days to 1 year). You must be careful if
there is a change in this stability before a trip or you may not be covered.
- Are you "topping up" coverage with another plan? (Using one plan for a
number of days then another plan for the rest of the trip.)
