The best on the market?
The Travel Underwriters Platinum Visitors Policy may be the best choice in emergency medical policies. This statement would apply both to policy limits and policy coverages. You can choose limits up to $300,000.00, which no other plan offers. Pre-existing conditions need to be stable for only 120 days before the policy effective date in order to be covered. Most other plans are 180 days.
Persons age 69 or under are covered automatically for pre-existing conditions which meet the 120 day stability requirement. Should you be between ages 70 and 79 you have the option to purchase coverage for stable pre-existing conditions by paying 25% more in premium. There is no medical questionnaire.
Travel Underwriters Platinum Policy offers higher sub-limits for inclusive coverages as follows:
- Medicine and drugs up to 30 days or $10,000.00 maximum
- Non emergency medical treatment up to $3,000.00 maximum
- Professional medical services, up to $500.00 per practitioner
- Accidental dental up to $4,000.00 maximum
- Emergency dental up to $600.00 maximum
- Return of vehicle, $2,500.00 maximum
The policy includes $25,000.00 coverage for Air Flight Accident and 24 hour Accidental Death and Dismemberment.
